I have a big problem evaluating this place. The first time I went in the evening for wine and tapas, it was very nice. Not super fantastic, but the wine selection was interesting, and the service was able to give good recommendations; the tapas were quite decent. If I were rating based on this alone, it would be a solid 4/5. However, the second time I went for breakfast, and unfortunately, it was quite poor. While the sandwich with calamari was acceptable (though the calamari were quite dried out and not very enjoyable), the salad was a disaster – maybe a salad based on cucumbers has its place in the summer, but at the end of October, it definitely does not. In summary – definitely go for wine, but skip breakfast.
A place with atmosphere. We managed to try shrimp, patatas bravas, croquetas, and olives – everything was delicious, and it felt like being transported straight to Spain ❤️ The service was very friendly!
I happily went for a Spanish breakfast, keeping tortilla de patatas in mind from the start. The dish was pleasing because I love it, but it left me wanting more because the tortilla was too dry. The salad with olives was very good. El Local has a very atmospheric and Spanish vibe, and I will definitely return to try other dishes.
Nice place, good tapas, and wine; everyone can find something for themselves, prices are also reasonable and portions large. The pan tumaca was delicious, the fresh artisan bread was fantastic. The calamari had a very tasty sauce and you could really taste the calamari, not just the breading (which unfortunately often happens). The small cheese platter featured three different cheeses, each quite distinct, along with some almonds. The eggplant with honey was a pleasant combination; the skin was a bit tough but otherwise worth trying. The croquetas with spinach – I'm not generally a huge fan of croquetas, but if someone likes them, they should be good. The house white wine was very tasty.
The place seemed atmospheric, but the waitresses were disorganized with orders, and after 1.5 hours of placing my order, I was informed that I wouldn't receive it because they ran out of products. I then ordered bread with tomatoes, for which I waited another 64 minutes… Not to mention the wrong tables and waiting 40 minutes for water… The food was the epitome of Galicia… just awful.
A very nice place, tapas are straightforward yet all delicious. An added bonus is the ability to buy wines, preserves, cold cuts, and cheeses on-site. Friendly service is everything you need :) Plus, reasonable prices, so I'm sure I'll return!
I recommend it for a casual meeting with friends, the tapas and wine are delicious!
Today's food was better than usual, the shrimp had a different nuance, and the presentation was well-prepared. Simply delicious, really.
A nice place for small tapas and a truly large selection of wines!! Inside, it was a bit cold (both morning and evening).
We have been here twice and probably won't return. Each time we ordered something different to eat and drink, and the result was the same – mediocre. The cheese platter was average, nothing surprising in terms of flavor, and the cheeses were cut in a somewhat unrefined manner. We ordered a refreshing pitcher of wine recommended by the waiter with lemon juice, but unfortunately, the drink was very watery with too much ice; I felt it contained no alcohol and that the wine was just an addition to the ice instead of the other way around. Prices here are inflated. The service is okay, but I would change a few things… you have to order at the bar, and when we asked whether we could sit at an outside table, we were denied, explaining that the neighbors might be displeased since it was already late (I'll add that we are a couple and don’t look like people who would make noise and shout at a garden table)… The only big plus is the pretty and atmospheric interior, but unfortunately, the rest needs improvement!
