My absolute comfort place during walks around the citadel :) I love the atmosphere of this place. In summer, there is a beautiful, secluded garden away from the park, and in winter, you can feel as if you are in a palm house. Additionally, the visit is made more enjoyable by singing parrots/birds and cats. The food is very tasty, the garlic sauce is really nice and spicy - not like most places sweet.
We ordered penne pomodoro and it was very good, although a bit spicy due to the large amount of pepper. We washed it down with green tea. You can bring a dog to Umberto. The service was very nice, but unfortunately, we were not offered water for our pet.
Overall, the atmosphere is super for me. The décor is amazing, you can feel like you are in a flower garden. The service is nice and efficient. As for the food, we ordered two main dishes and a pizza for kids. Pork tenderloin --> delicious ️ Pizza Palermo --> very good Chicken fillet --> unfortunately, something went wrong and the meat was tough, as if it was overcooked But I will consider this a minor incident because the rest was fantastic. The lemonade was refreshing and delicious. Overall, I find the place great.
Beautiful place with excellent climate and décor. Outside, there are plenty of garden loungers and tables. Additionally, on hot days, there are misters that gently cool us down. The toast I ate was very tasty, and my partner's dish - shrimp pasta with vegetables - was also delicious. The service was very nice, polite, and smiling. Additionally, the seasonal lemonade is delicious and the draft beer is fantastic. I recommend it.
This place stands out for everything: very tasty food, a nice atmosphere, polite service, a wonderful garden, and organized charity events. From the moment I entered, I feel positive feelings towards every customer. The menu includes dishes for both vegetarians and meat lovers, and the portions are generous.
As most say, this is a very atmospheric place, you can feel like in a palm house with diverse vegetation and live birds that chime in from time to time, making your stay enjoyable. The downside of this place is the 2 bathrooms where, during busy hours, there are long lines. The service in our case was poor; the lady couldn’t confidently place the plate on the table, and with the soup, I wondered whether I would have it on me or if I could actually try it. Unfortunately, the lemonade didn’t have much luck; it was spilled by that lady. I don't know, maybe she was having a bad day. As for the dishes, they were nicely presented with finesse, but the flavor can easily be summed up as decent without any major wow factor. The portions seem large but it’s only an illusion. You can get full. For me, the price to quality ratio felt a bit pricey. I expected a bigger wow with such prices.
The restaurant is in the heart of the Citadel in a very nice environment full of plants. You can sit inside, in the garden, or in the chill-out zone with a drink. All of these spots have a charming décor with many interesting plants, making it pleasant to spend time there. The pizza is acceptable, but it could be better. The restaurant is pet-friendly - a chatty kitty sat with us. From my perspective, a good spot to break up a walk through the Citadel.
Despite the weekend and a full venue, all dishes were warm, served promptly, and, most importantly, very tasty.
Long waiting times and total ignorance from the waiters. Despite the queue outside, we couldn’t get the bill. The table was dirty and sticky, and I didn’t see anyone wipe the table after other guests. The food was mediocre; the fries were cooked in old oil. The flowers next to the table were completely dusty and covered in cobwebs. The atmosphere is excellent, the interior cozy, but unfortunately very dirty.
A very nice and atmospheric place. I visited after some time and it still has a fantastic ambiance. The service is highly recommended, and above all, prices and portions are very reasonable. I felt like I was in the jungle and took a break from the city's hustle and bustle.
