The food is very average - out of 2 main courses and 2 desserts only one thing was delicious - pumpkin with chocolate ganache. The rest was rather poor. The pumpkin was stale, the pork with bone in large quantities, but poorly flavored, the cheesecake very weak. The service was also poor - a request to bring desserts together with the main course was ignored and when we asked the waitress she said that the kitchen made a mistake. It would not be a problem if the waitress had warned us about it. We were a larger group and the orders were mixed, one did not come at all, which was not very concerned. The prices are high enough that we expected better quality and effort
The perfect place if you want to show someone the real, traditional and delicious Polish cuisine. The restaurant is conducive to conversation, jazz music plays softly in the background, and the staff was nice and helpful. It's worth visiting during a walk in Ostrow Tumski. A bit of a shame that there are no coffee milk substitutes, but it's quite understandable in traditional cuisine.
Very nice and competent waiter. The decor and music were great. We ordered the following:nnTatar of beef in focaccia - I have nothing to complain about, the chips with Lubczyk and the Lubczyk mayonnaise added a great taste, the focaccia was not dry, lightly toasted. I did not mind the fact that there was more focaccia than meat. Interesting presentation and a tasty dish.nnBeef with mushrooms - the meat was very tender and crumbly, but at the same time it was not drynThe sauce perfectly complemented the taste, and the mushrooms were very tasty and interestingly presentednnPierogi with meat - the filling was delicate and very well seasoned, the pastry was thin. The cranberries and green peas in the sauce made a perfect combination.nnBrownie - very good, but also very sweet. The roasted white chocolate and raspberries on top were a very good idea. The portion was quite large.nnThe appetizer and the main dish were served quite quickly, however, there were not many people in the restaurant.
We are delighted with this place! The food is delicious, beautifully presented, large portions. Typical Polish cuisine, dishes are served in an original way. The best dishes, according to us, are the soup and liver dumplings. A beautiful garden and elegant decor of the restaurant. Very nice and competent service. We highly recommend it! We will definitely come back!
First of all, a nice, professional waiter. Second of all, delicious food. An unusual tatary serving, it may not appeal to everyone, however, for us, an unusual departure from the traditional form, worth trying. Very good żurek with delicate mashed potatoes. The rest is also worth its price, quality, serving. In addition, a beautiful, atmospheric place.
Beautiful place with very good cuisine. The food is beautifully served :) Prices are not exorbitant!
A restaurant on Ostrow Tumski with a cozy interior, with friendly service. The food is very, very tasty. I recommend especially the roasted pumpkin, my taste buds went crazy with delight.
A place chosen by chance, of course, previously checked menu in terms of type of cuisine. Traditional rustic cuisine, it convinced us. We ordered Lithuanian cold soup, blackbeet. I will say that blackbeet I ate ages ago at my grandmother's but the taste in this place was completely different and I can say that it was probably even better. Surprisingly, my daughter really liked it, which is a shock for me. From the main dishes we chose trout, kielbasa and dumplings with beef. In general, I can safely say that the dishes are generally a bomb. The multi-faceted taste gives a great feast for the palate. The only small minus is the too salty sauce in the dumplings but the rest is perfect. The atmosphere of the place is also very pleasant.
A place worth recommending! Very friendly service and phenomenal taste and appearance of dishes,
I'll tell you honestly, I've been coming here for years, and I had good memories about this place. But the cooks changed, they introduce some inventions and unfortunately, but it's not as tasty as it was.nLet's start with the appetizer, which we waited for about 50 minutes, where in the place there was only our group and no one else, the appetizer is tartar, or rather a sandwich with meat, but someone forgot to change the name, ordering tartar we expect beautiful meat, in the middle of the plate with a quail egg, mushrooms and other delicacies, once it was like that, but under the name of tartar hides a stuffing sandwich, which is hard to go down the throat. Someone's fantasy clearly went wrong. I would suggest to go back to the classics, because ordering tartar we want to get a lot of meat, not bread smeared with meat. As for the taste, it's a very well seasoned sandwich, tasty, but it's not tartar, separately on the menu could be.nBlackbeet, classic, normal nothing special, Beef Rib, meat falling apart, so plus, in the taste of the meat itself, but this sauce is tasteless and these beets are hard like I don't know what rolled into some kind of ball, it's a misunderstanding. Very nicely decorated and also tasty 2 dumplings.nThen the roll in bacon, I didn't try, but I heard that it's tasty and it can be, so let's stay with that.nI can add that the lemonade is very tasty, sweet, a lot of orange is felt, it's a plus.nSumming up, Tumska Restaurant was once on a high culinary level, but now it has fallen and very much. It's a great pity because it has potential and atmosphere, but someone just poorly manages it and can't choose cooks, or the right menu.nWe just have to wait and see, if there will be any changes for the better, or rather it will go in the opposite direction as it is now. Someone should seriously take on this pearl, and not waste its potential. If anyone is interested in the price I paid, it was 700zł
