The restaurant has an amazing atmosphere!nThe service is exceptionally nice, polite and always ready to help – you can see that people who work there really care about guests.nThe food? Simply amazing!nEach dish was not only beautifully served, but also delighted with the taste and freshness of ingredients. It is definitely a place I will return to – both for delicious food and a unique atmosphere. I recommend it to everyone who is looking for something more than just a restaurant – it is a real culinary experience!'
The spicy Katsu Curry I ordered was not spicy. Fortunately, the staff, at my request, served the spices to add to the dish to make it spicier. The staff does not check how many people are waiting for a table, even though there are free seats, only after the request, the staff realized that there was a free table and you could seat the guests there. The staff does not ask if everything is okay with the dish after serving, only after the fact. Minus for having the only allergen card in the whole place. Despite the attention to not serve Miso Ramen from Naruto (allergen), it was served. My Katsu Curry was spicy but not crazy, the batter without a clear taste, pork ok, but not outstanding. I do not understand the enthusiasm of some over the dish. The decor is ok, but rather modest.
My boyfriend and I went in and were immediately warmly greeted by the staff ☺️ After choosing a table, the waitress took very good care of us. The atmosphere is divine, especially in the second room, which you have to enter through a corridor. After eating ramen here, I changed my opinion about it, because wherever I went, it didn't taste good to me. Here, both the broth and the noodles were so good that we will definitely come back here again and more than once. I highly recommend it
I must admit that it was my best experience with ramen, and I've had my fair share of them. :D The ramen, onigiri and tea were delicious, and the opportunity to spend time in a secluded corner on a tatami mat playing on a retro console added to the experience. And of course, it would be a sin not to mention the very friendly service <3 I felt taken care of on the spot and I can't say anything bad. I will definitely come back <3
We were at Tonari for breakfast, the place is big, comfortable, spacious and it's all in a Japanese atmosphere. Japanese music was playing softly in the speakers. The staff was very nice, helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very tasty :) I highly recommend it!
My new favorite restaurant in Poznań!! Ramen (especially miso) in a smaller version is a great idea, onigiri delicious, I took another to go. nnHowever, I would like to request the possibility of adding a sesame dressing salad as an addition to dishes other than katsu, because I was forced to steal from the guy's plate xD
We were in the restaurant on 6th of August. From the very beginning we were greeted by very warm and pleasant service. Unfortunately we did not make a reservation so we ended up at a table outside which was the only one that was still free. I usually do not prefer such tables, especially because they are standing under some balcony but we really wanted to try the food here so we just went for it. The food is amazing! We did not wait long for our portions and the taste stayed in our memory so much that we will definitely come back to Poznań, especially here. The portions are huge and incredibly filling. The spiciness of my ramen was so wonderfully balanced that I had no problem eating it. On the other hand, I took the onigiri to go, which is also great, that there is such an option. It is really a crowded place so I recommend making reservations, but it is definitely worth it to go there at least once!
The climate is fine, the service is friendly, the food is very good, of course I haven't tried everything so far. I tried Miso and it was delicious, noodles, broth, a big whole egg - it's great! I just thought there would be more broth... a minor detail - it's a pity that napkins are not served with the dishes right away. I recommend
Tonari is the only place in Poland (or nearby) that serves Japanese food. While in all other places I know that serve sushi or ramen (much less udon or grilled food from robata), here you can eat real Japanese curry (no, it's not the curry you learned from Indian or Thai cuisine) and my favorite 'rice bowls' (donburi) full of perfectly fried chicken, with aromatic sauce, and in the set kenko, complete with real miso soup and aromatic vinegar dressing (optional, but for me mandatory) with sesame. Of course, in the menu you can also eat the most delicious ramen, gyoza and unique onigiri. In addition, from October 2024, on weekends, traditional breakfasts are served from 9 to 12. All this in meat and vegetarian versions. For dessert, there is a unique composition of traditional Japanese sweets, which may surprise some, because it is completely different flavors than those to which we are accustomed (update 10.2024: currently not available). Seasonal dishes are also available, e.g. due to special ingredients or special guests.nnDoes the passion visible in the kitchen and service support my thesis about the most Japanese (with a capital J!) place? To some extent, but it's not all. The interior of the restaurant even exudes Japan. During the waiting period, you can read current Japanese magazines or numerous mangas occupying the shelves. In the second room there is a table for tatami mats 1:1 taken from a traditional Japanese house. Tonari provides an experience closest to what I found in the Land of the Rising Sun. It allows me to recharge my batteries in anticipation of another life journey towards the Rising Sun.nnAccording to Japanese custom, water is served for free to greet you. (Update 10.2024) It's a bit a shame that we no longer get a wet napkin to wash our hands before eating, but apparently Poles did not know what to do with it... In the restaurant, there is a selection of delicious Japanese teas in hot and cold versions. On weekends, there are no reservations. Some (not all!) dishes are available to take away or with delivery. The exemplary communication on social media proves that Tonari cares about us - Guests (not customers) of the small Poznań's Japan.nnI highly recommend it. To everyone. Poznańian. Polek. Foreigner. Every person. Do not be discouraged by long queues, because they are very short, although larger groups must then be patient.nnPS. A place friendly to dogs - within reason! :)
I recommend it. Very delicious ramen, probably the best ramen I've ever had in Poznań. For two people, they paid 100zl
