Taco Jesus is a specific place. The decor may evoke extreme emotions, because it is quite controversial, but it is clear that it is a deliberate attempt. If someone likes atmospheres that balance on the edge of good taste (both visually and culinarily), then they might like it here.nnService? Well, practically one person does everything. The same man was the cashier, the chef, and the waiter, the first time I have seen something like that. Moreover, he did not speak Polish, which may be a barrier for some people.nnAnd what about the food? The chicken tacos had great meat – juicy, well seasoned, but the rest of the toppings kind of spoiled the effect. The cabbage tasted strangely and somehow sour, although my colleague liked it. The burrito was correct, but not spectacular – the beans were the most noticeable, so the whole thing resembled more a mush than a well-balanced composition of flavors. The meat was again the strongest point, but something was missing that would give this dish character. The biggest minus is the prices. 40 zł for a burrito and the same for three tacos is a lot, especially since everything is served on plastic plates, which further exacerbates the impression that it should be cheaper. I will not visit this place again.
This place is one big misunderstanding. I do not understand such high ratings. For me, as someone has already written, it is one big disappointment.nnI am not a fan of restaurants, from which, along with the exit of the place, I take the whole smell of food on myself, so first of all, it would be worth working on this aspect.nnThe kitchen itself is just average, everything tasted basically the same. We did not finish eating, we simply left this place.nnNone of those present spoke Polish. In today's times, of course, it is not a problem, but in the case of my parents, it made any communication impossible. On the other hand, the average level of interest in serving the customer also leaves much to be desired.nnI do not recommend, this place is a disappointment, look for 'Mexican' elsewhere.
It is difficult to assess how the food in this restaurant resembles the original Mexican one, because many such restaurants do not exist. However, it was good in itself. Quesadilla with a lot of additions, not just meat and cheese, and tacos sprinkled with fresh herbs with juicy meat were an interesting variation from other fast foods. The portions are not too large, the place has beautiful seating areas behind the building and truly Mexican equipment.
I'll start with the most important things, you can come with a dog (unfortunately, despite the heat, we were not offered water for our pet, fortunately we had our own). The ordered burrito was very good, although despite the request for a mild sauce for one of them, we got a spicy one, which was a problem for my partner. And now I will describe a situation that happened to us for the first time in our restaurant history. We didn't get our food for a very long time, all the other guests around, even those who came much later, got their meal before us. After 45 minutes of waiting, we asked the waiter what was going on and it turned out that someone else took our order. The whole system of serving food is to blame, there are no numbered tables and the person taking the order writes down the name of the person ordering. When the dish is ready, the waiter enters the room/garden, calls out the name and the first one who comes up gets the food. The problem with such a system occurs when the name is very popular, according to the service, there were three people with my name in the restaurant at the same time. We were all apologized for the whole situation and after another 15 minutes we got our food and an additional free drink as compensation. I'm not angry because I think the service coped well and behaved very nicely, but if someone doesn't fix such situations, there will be more, so I ask the restaurant owner to react.
The restaurant was very welcoming to the group of students, the winners of the Mexico knowledge contest The food was delicious, at a reasonable price. I recommend it!nnThe restaurant received us very well. I went with a group of students, winners of the 'Discover Mexico' contest. We left very happy, the food and the atmosphere were exceptional. Thank you
Delicious burritos and tacos. I recommend trying their signature drinks, they are delicious! Dogs are welcome and many pet owners take advantage of the privilege of going to the pub with their pets.
The decor of the place enchanted me incredibly, however, I think it may be too intense for some. Mexican dishes are really good, unfortunately, the sauce, despite choosing the hottest one, barely baked, which is a bit unthinkable in this cuisine. Part of the staff does not speak Polish at all and immediately leaves with English, which again was not a problem for me, but it is a bit out of place.
I've heard a lot of good things about this place, but for me it turned out to be quite a strong disappointment.nnThe ordering system is very ill-considered - the waiters don't write down the order number or the table number, just the name of the person placing the order, so the food we waited for quite a while was given to someone else with the same name who arrived later than we did. For this annoying mistake we received free drinks in a bottle.nnAfter another 15 minutes of waiting, we finally got our ordered dishes. They were quite tasty, although unfortunately one burrito, which was supposed to be mild, I got in a spicy version. Hibiscus lemonade was very good.nnIt's great that you can enter the restaurant and the garden with a dog, but it's a bit a shame that they didn't offer a bowl of water for the dog, especially at such high temperatures (luckily we had our own in a bottle)
The best tacos I've ever had. An explosion of taste, during and after eating, it feels like the flavors change, a real firework. The atmosphere is also nice, everything is just right, but it fits perfectly into this place.
The food is very good, I think that when it comes to Mexican dishes, this is one of the best restaurants in Poznań. The service is nice and helpful. I just don't understand the system of serving dishes. When ordering, we are asked to provide our name. Then the waiters walk around the restaurant shouting the name to find the person who ordered the dish. It's quite annoying. Maybe it would be better to number the tables? Overall, I recommend.
