The restaurant 'Projekt Alfa' is located on the first floor of the 'Altus' hotel. The interior is typically modernist, resembling a 60s club-café. Such interiors are rare today! I ordered zurek, beef roulade with kopytka, and beets. My husband ordered schnitzel and a salad with olives, feta cheese, etc., while our friends had goose soup with homemade dumplings. My rating is as follows: - I've never had such good zurek in my life! Served in a deep plate, not too thin or too thick, well seasoned with several types of meat! There were pieces of smoked pork, kabanos, and probably some lean smoked bacon, and everything smelled and tasted wonderful. After that soup, I was already full, but I still had the main course to come. The beef roulade was also excellent, the meat tender and paired perfectly with the delicate dumplings. On the plate, the roulade with sides looked like a work of art! My husband's schnitzel was also very tasty, and the goose soup ordered by our friends was fantastic! The salad with olives was excellent, and the mini bread rolls were amazing! You have a wonderful chef with great talent! RESPECT!
I rarely go to hotel restaurants - this one surprised me positively. Pleasant simple decor, great view from the window. Good, simple food, but executed with thought - Polish cuisine in today's edition.
Delicious pierogi with baked potatoes and cheese, accompanied by kale and Jerusalem artichoke chips. Friendly service. For me, it's great
I was a hotel guest during a conference. We were served lunch three times. Unfortunately, the food was absolutely terrible. The soups: each time it was a guessing game. White borscht with broccoli? Broth with gingerbread seasoning, possibly celery, but tasted like processed cheese. The chef seemed to have fallen in love during those three days, as the dishes were absurdly salty. From the leftovers on participants' plates, I unfortunately conclude that I wasn't the only one who had a huge problem eating anything. It's sad because the place is interesting, but the quality of the served dishes greatly diminishes the experience of staying at the Altus hotel.
Bungee jumping is less risky than eating in hotel restaurants. I took that risk... The vegetarian burger in this restaurant turned out to be a total disaster. Fries fried in old oil, ketchup that probably never saw a tomato, and a patty (probably some pre-made 'ready' item of unknown origin) completely devoid of flavor. Hunger after a long workday forced me to eat this dish, and that was unfortunately a mistake...
The restaurant is located in a very good place. The menu is mainly leaning towards traditional Polish cuisine. Basically, everything we tried was tasty (especially the dumplings with pulled meat!), however, I was severely disappointed with the zurek - while very tasty and tangy, I've never received such a small serving of soup. Paying 18 PLN felt like getting slapped in the face. Just a trace portion. A very big plus for the free carafe of still water with a fruit infusion - it should be a norm in all restaurants, especially in summer days.
We dined here during this year's Restaurant Week - excellent food, surprising flavors (like smoked potatoes). If it's this delicious every day, the restaurant should be full, and I wish them that :)
Good restaurant with reasonably decent prices. Fast and friendly service. Dishes made with high-quality ingredients. Portions are just right for a medium hunger. I also appreciate the small kids' corner.
