We continue our journey through Poznań restaurants. The restaurant from the very beginning makes an ambiguous impression – the interior is kept in a rustic style, and very strange lamps are above the tables. Made in the form of buckets, they hang very low and cover the face of the neighbor at the table. We ordered mulled wine, they brought large cups, into which about 100ml of weakly warm wine was poured. I wish it was HOT! The bigos was quite tasty, and the portion was abundant. Pierogi – the main dish we ordered turned out to be very average. Sticky dough and not very tasty filling. Overall rating below 3 on a five-point scale.nI am very sorry that the impression of great Polish cuisine was spoiled by a bad cook from this restaurant.
A very atmospheric place, you can see that the owner took care of every detail. The dumplings are delicious, the best I've ever had. Perfect thick dough, and at the same time a lot of filling. We chose Russian dumplings (after all, you can feel the twaróg and potatoes), with baked meat (sweet with a noticeable plum ❤️), and also kartacze served in żurek. For dessert, we ate dumplings with twaróg and sweet sour cream, which reminded me of the taste of my grandmother's dumplings. We will definitely come back here. We hope that the level will never drop.
The place has a great atmosphere, the restaurant is bigger than it looks from the outside. There is a lot of traffic, so it's definitely a good idea to make a reservation, or you can wait at the door for a table.nThe portions are definitely satisfying, especially the pierogi from the oven - a large portion can be too much for one person :)nThe sauces are very good, there is a wide selection of them. Surprisingly, the devil's pierogi were not spicy at all. The prices are quite high for drinks.nI hope to go there again to try something new; the menu is seasonal.
The food is very good. The interior design is maintained in an interesting convention. The tables are large enough for employee integration. The only drawback is the hidden cost of frying pierogies. When browsing the menu, I did not notice any information that for pierogies fried in butter, you have to pay an additional 6 zł. The waitress also did not inform about this fact. It should be taken into account that for a group of 8 or more people, an additional 10% of the total bill should be paid.
At first, the place made a rather negative impression on me: we waited a long time for service, first at the entrance, then at the table, but fortunately, it got better later. The waiter was very nice and helpful, and we received the food quite quickly. The pierogi tasted very good, as did the appetizer and the delicious hot cydr with orange. It's a bit of a shame that the sets of pierogi from the oven (3 or 5 pcs.) do not include sweet versions, but there are many options to choose from, both meat and vegetarian.nSuper that the place is dog-friendly :)
We visited the Stary Młyn pierogarnia with our family and at the beginning we were delighted by the wooden decor of the restaurant. The service was very polite and understanding, the dishes were served quite quickly and elegantly, and we were entertained with a 'appetizer' in the form of bread and cottage cheese. We ordered crispy, latticed, mixed and baked pierogies - the crispy ones were definitely the most unique, but all were tasty and made from fresh products (sauces were also delicious, especially the raspberry one). The compote and coffee were also very tasty! We definitely recommend it
You can come with your dog :) we ordered a mix of pies from the oven and a mill wheel (here's a variation of the placek from the robber's place). The dumplings were very good with a solid selection of meat and vegetarian options. The cake was very tasty, but I was disappointed with the sauce. To drink, we ordered cydr warm with spices and orange - it was delicious and very warming :)
A rich selection of dumplings. The place itself is beautiful and very touristy. The service is very nice and friendly. Wait time is below 30 minutes. You can definitely recommend it. 10 percent discount with a tourist card
I ordered soup with dumplings and dumplings. The soup was cold, the dumplings were as big as a woman's bra, the filling was a medicine for the taste, but the pastries were not good. The dumplings were quite good, but the toppings in the form of bacon and onions, only half of the dumplings had to be eaten dry. In general, I do not recommend it. The price is not adequate to the quality. The waiting time was about 50 minutes with little traffic, no queue.
The atmosphere and decor of this place are great. There is an mezzanine with windows and it is cozy. The dumplings are very good but small compared to the traditional ones, the ones from the oven are bigger. If you are wondering if you can manage to eat a larger portion, don't think about it because the price difference is not that big. It is definitely not worth buying one more dumpling, the staff should be able to suggest more about the dishes, and in general, very nice waiters. The location is right by the market.
