A total misunderstanding. We visited this bar for the first and last time with a friend. At 3 PM, the beginning of the week, the atmosphere was very peculiar, and the music coming from the speakers was something that maybe 12 people from the whole city listen to – totally unlistenable and not fitting to the meal. A friendly gentleman handed us the menu of dishes and drinks, and we both decided to try the Georgian pie. We didn’t have to wait too long, but the dish left much to be desired (too salty). We didn’t get any cutlery, maybe because we were supposed to eat it with our hands, but the bread was so greasy that the oil was dripping, and the nearest paper towels were only in the bathroom... but the best was yet to come. The stage was full of cables; it was possible that there was some concert going on, of course, that didn’t bother us, but at one point a lady came with a construction vacuum cleaner, plugged it in, and announced that she had to run the 'combine' for 5 minutes and apologized very much. We couldn’t believe what was happening. I always thought that cleaning activities, especially with such a machine, shouldn’t take place while customers are eating. I don’t even have to mention that because of the noise, we had to shout at each other. Disappointed with the atmosphere, the pie, and the service, we left the place. However, I must say something optimistic in the end. The place might present itself quite nicely as an evening outing for a beer with friends accompanied by some nice live music, but when it comes to having lunch, all other places in the area are better.
Today we went to visit this place after good reviews from friends. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed, some time ago there was a new menu, and we weren't quite sure what to choose. Ultimately, we decided on Georgian drinks and a small appetizer. We waited quite a long time for the 'food' (3 grilled eggplant rolls), but unfortunately, it turned out horrible in taste. The eggplant was somewhat rubbery and seemed not fresh. As for the atmosphere, I’ll leave a star here because it is indeed a nice place for meetings with friends and conversations over coffee, but I do not recommend eating anything there :(
Total failure, I do not recommend. I don’t know where such high opinions came from up until now. Avoid it at all costs! P.S. Responding to the owner’s response below: What compensation are we talking about? We received a dish we didn’t order, it was horrendous in taste, and no one even mentioned a refund or an apology!!! Please note that in your establishment, you pay first and then receive the food. At the very beginning, we asked whether we could eat there, and the answer was positive. The fact that the cook is sick is not a problem for the guests; it would have been enough to inform us that there would be difficulties with food. We weren't the only dissatisfied guests that day, so please take it on the chin. Please don’t come up with compensation, as there wasn’t any.
Many interesting cultural initiatives that enliven the historic building that needs renovation. Beautiful main hall Amarantowa.
I ordered charczo soup (of course with beef). I received something more like leczo, with chicken. I was asked by the cook whether the lady taking my order informed me that they had a seasonal version of charczo with chicken. Of course, nothing like that had taken place earlier. In several different places, I had the opportunity to try this soup, and it was usually similar. Unfortunately, in this case, I got something completely different from that standard.
A pleasant place, more associated by me as a bar and concert hall. A relaxed, inclusive atmosphere. Friendly, approachable, and efficient service (from a distance, they noticed my beer was ending and reacted in time!) I eat there rarely, mainly because I go there after dinner, but sometimes I nibble on an appetizer. Friends who have eaten there were very satisfied. Conveniently, there is a dedicated smoking area, so you don’t have to stand outside.
For the last two years, I came here with my family from time to time. We always left satisfied and full. Unfortunately, today we were very disappointed. I finished classes in the same building and wanted to quickly eat something with my family. The waiting time was an hour, with practically no one in the establishment. The food was very bad. In general, the new, changed menu is really overdone, but you could still select something. We ordered fries made from root vegetables. Totally misleading for the customer, as they are roasted vegetables, so they have a mushy and unpleasant consistency, a mushy parsley and carrot. Vegan casserole with eggplant - after a few bites, it becomes nauseating because it was doused in oil. Pie with potatoes, ok, but there have been better versions, less sour. The bean dish from the menu was delicious :( The best was the tea. We passed all our comments to the waiter. 97 PLN thrown into the trash, and an hour waiting to leave hungry because we picked at everything. We don’t want to dismiss this place just yet, but I am so disgusted at the very thought of what was served to us today that we won’t be returning for the next few months. It’s sad because I used to love this place :(
I have been there many times and have never had a reason to complain. The friendly demeanor of the staff and owners makes you want to go back. I brought friends there, and everyone always enjoyed the atmosphere. A place you have to visit.
Definitely one of the more interesting venues in Poznań. If you’re tired of Wrocławska and want to go to a jam session in a nice, atmospheric place – this is your venue.
The food is good, but only one lady is serving, handling orders, payments, and preparing drinks. Unfortunately, this results in a long waiting time for orders and incomplete realizations. After 1.5 hours, my husband approached the lady and asked about the order, and it turned out that part of it wasn’t even being prepared. Unfortunately, we didn’t even hear an apology.
