I would give 5 stars because the pancakes are the best in all of Poznań. There is a very large selection - everyone will find something for themselves. The portions are generous, especially the pancakes. The prices are also great, most items on the menu cost around 30 PLN or less. However, the service is a downside. Almost every time I go, the waiter/waitress is discouraged and gloomy. The waiting time is also quite high, even on slower days. The atmosphere is pleasant, but the broken speakers in the establishment definitely spoil it. I recommend it for pancake lovers, but I wouldn't choose it for a date.
This was my first order at Manekin; I ordered several dishes for my friends and me for delivery. The courier got lost in the center of Poznań, and I had to search for him outside in the cold for half an hour; the food arrived without cutlery because the lady who took my order didn't read the comments thoroughly (she admitted it in a phone conversation). I clearly asked for them to be included. We ordered with two hours' notice, so there was time to familiarize with the remarks regarding the order. It's half bad if someone ordered a pancake, but a friend ordered tagliatelle and was left in the lurch, and another friend received a soft, soggy pancake that was inedible by hand, so as you can see, ordering a pancake does not save the situation.
If pancakes, then only Manekin. For a small amount of money, you can really eat well. Savory pancakes with pulled beef and mayonnaise are great. Sweet ones with vanilla cheese are equally good. We visited this place on Sunday right after it opened, and to our surprise, there was no line and only a few people inside. I recommend it.
Very friendly and intuitive service. Food is very good and portions are large. It's a shame there are no reservations. I recommend it.
We go there from time to time. Usually, every ordered dish appeals to us; it varies, of course, depending on personal preferences. There are always queues, but we know what we are signing up for by choosing you.nI love grapefruit beer, and the fresh apple juices are genius too.nThe coffee is pretty average, more lukewarm than hot.nThe service is great. Casual, not pushy.
Expectation and reality. The ordered pancake with strawberries and white chocolate turned out to be a pancake with cheese and strawberry jam. I don't know if those strawberries were frozen. Neither did it look appetizing nor was it tasty. This was my first and last time eating here. And to add to that, I had a dirty plate under the cup with coffee.
There is no item they could serve that would erase the bad experiences from the waiting time. It's a drama. An hour standing outside the establishment. An hour waiting to serve the dishes. I know this is the company's strategy, but eventually, someone should put an end to it. It takes away the joy of the day. I stood there and wasted half a day just for my child because they really wanted to go. Additionally, the food gets worse every time, and the new items are so terrible that even my omnivorous husband didn't like them.
Delicious salmon pasta, a bottle of wine at a good price, and the dishes were prepared quickly (15/20 minutes) for a repeat visit!
Great pancake place! The menu is very rich - it offers options for savory and sweet, different types of dough, various serving methods, such as in the form of a tortilla or 'pasta'. A wide selection of fasting and vegetarian dishes. Very tasty, filling portions at affordable prices! The characteristic decor of the establishment is also a plus (images of OWL everywhere )nnI must admit that before my visit, I was worried about the queues and waiting time (I was seriously warned about this), but... my fears were unfounded there was no queue, and we were served very efficiently. The waitress was very nice, well-informed about the menu, and gave great advice on dish selection very positive experience, I will gladly return!
Waiting time - A DRAMA. Monday, 5 PM, we ordered 3 items from the menu. Despite there being quite a few people, we got our order only around 6 PM.nThe atmosphere is pleasant, service 2/5 - we were not received very nicely. In summary, I recommend coming well-fed because you will wait so long that you will get hungrier, but the pancakes are quite good.
