For an appetizer, we ordered Tom Kha soup, which was very good and aromatic. For the main course, we ordered two noodles Pad Mee Korat and Pad See Ew. Unfortunately, both dishes were very average, lacking flavor. The sauces were bland, these dishes were just plain uninteresting.nOn the plus side, the large portions, which you can definitely eat a lot of, and the availability of Thai beers on the menu. The service was nice, without any complaints.nWe were a bit disappointed with the visit, because the restaurant has a lot of positive reviews and we expected much more. It is possible that we met a worse day. I think we will give them another chance and come to try dishes with rice, maybe they will turn out better.
I sometimes liked to come back there for two dishes, despite the fact that the level was uneven (sometimes 5, other times 4). Unfortunately, one of the dishes (Gai Pad Med Mamung) is prepared in a different way than before, which results in it tasting much worse. The chicken has been replaced with its very small pieces in a large, crispy batter. It is no longer such an aromatic and tasty dish. I probably won't go back.nA big minus of this place is also that the kitchen does not have a good extractor, because after leaving the place, all clothes smell of fat and spices.
A great Asian restaurant. Both dishes we tried (pad kra pao (note: really spicy ️) and gai pad med mamuang) were delicious, large portions, friendly service. The waiting time was incomparably shorter than in similar places in Poznań (about 15 minutes from the moment the waitress took the order). We will definitely come back and not just once!
I live next to it and I was here for the first time, but I probably won't come back. The portion size is okay, not too small or too big. But the taste of the food leaves a lot to be desired. Everything is as if it was covered in grease. In this dish you don't feel anything except grease and salt. For so much money it's a bit of a misunderstanding.nThe decor itself is also very strange. Why is there a fridge between the tables? Who came up with this idea? Why is there no classic counter that you can approach and order from? It's just set up in a weird way.nMoreover, someone already wrote about it, but it's true that when you walk into the restaurant, you are immediately hit by a very strong strange smell from the kitchen. Maybe it's a matter of the extract but it's just unpleasant to sit there.
Delicious Thai food in Poznań's Polanka.nnFor a long time, the districts were gastronomic deserts, serving medium-quality burgers or pizza and kebabs to take away. For the last few years, this trend is changing and in many districts of Poznań, you can find such gems as the local Thai eatery. Gems serving authentic, fresh food, nourishing from the heart. If you are not afraid of fish sauce, you are curious about new tastes, well-cooked rice and aromatic sauces and soups - this is a place worth visiting.nnThe menu includes appetizers, soups, main courses and two desserts. There are quite a few soups and no wonder, because it is a cuisine that has delicious soups to offer. I was delighted with the salad with fried tofu, coriander and mint - served with rice and cucumber slices - perfect for hot weather! I also took fried rice balls with green curry as an appetizer, which were very tasty and filling, and mango sticky rice dessert, which was very tasty. The whole was very filling, so it is better to go with several people so that you can share, the portions are also not small.nnIn addition to soft drinks, which include standard carbonated drinks or water, but also homemade lemonade, or frozen Thai coffee and tea, hot tea and freshly squeezed juices, and from alcoholic - we can find Thai beers in the offer.nnI would be happy to come back here again, especially once again for the salad, but I would also like to try another soup.
So far I have ordered through Wolt, but I finally managed to visit Khao San in person and I was not disappointed either. This time I tried Tom Kha and Pad Thai with chicken. The soup is very refreshing lemon juice just right for the heat. The portion of Pad Thai is large, I couldn't eat the whole one but it was tasty. Nice service, a regular place without a fuss but that's not the point. I highly recommend.
The food is very good, the portions are substantial.nThe staff knows the menu and can recommend what to have, which is a huge plus!nIt's a local place, not particularly distinguished by its decor/atmosphere.
Update 03.2023:nUndoubtedly the most authentic place with Thai cuisine in Poznań. The taste of the dishes is simply amazing. Prices have gone up but that's everywhere, but for that price you get a huge portion size. You will definitely not leave hungry. The place has changed a bit in terms of decor, it's better than it was but in my opinion you could plan a different configuration of tables. It often happens that tables for 4 or 6 people are occupied by 2 people, which creates queues. Maybe it's worth thinking about and making tables for 2 people and if necessary combining them?nn****nnOne of the best places with Thai cuisine in Poznań. Authentic taste of Thai cuisine, no matter what dish you choose. With such authentic food, it's worth making a more atmospheric place, because the place inside is simply average, and you could make a street food atmosphere of Thailand.nnAlso judging the food 10/10nAtmosphere in the place 5d/10nService 8/10
Long time ago I became addicted to Chilli Lime Crispy Chicken, it's just delicious nSometimes I eat something else and everything is tasty. But I love this one dish.nTo add to that, the service is always nice, I recommend!
The last time I was here a few years ago and I was a bit worried because of the recently posted reviews that something might have changed for the worse, but no - the food still doesn't have to wait for a long time, it's still delicious, and the portions are still big (on the photo no. 8, no. 16 and Thai frozen tea). I will definitely come back when I am in Poznań again - just for this one place it's worth it. :) Please don't change anything - except for the decor, because, well, this one could be more atmospheric. :)
