As for the decor, it definitely needs improvement: white walls with three paintings. Although it's not a typical restaurant but more of a bistro, some effort could be made to create an Italian atmosphere. A few tables in a small space. The gentleman serving us was very nice and polite. He took care of the guests. We were there for Restaurant Week, and the dishes were tasty. However, the pasta sprinkled with fresh pepper was quite spicy with a very large amount of pepper. The delicious cannoli with pistachio cream and Nutella was a highlight. This place definitely has potential.
We ordered two pastas: amatriciana for 48 PLN and carbonara for 48 PLN, as well as two lemonades priced at 16 PLN each for 200ml. We were disappointed… I'll start with the lemonade, which had no citrus flavor; there was a detectable peach taste but it was very diluted. 200ml of diluted 'something' feels like a rip-off. The carbonara was very runny, the sauce ran to the bottom of the plate, and the guanciale was burned too much… 48 PLN is also an exaggeration. The amatriciana I received was a cold dish without character, flavor, or texture. The pretty pictures on Instagram are nothing like what we received. We will never come back and honestly do not recommend this place.
A small, atmospheric, and cozy place where you can try delicious pastas ☺️ The service is very nice, and the sweet cannoli are exquisite.
Delicious food, the best cannoli I've ever eaten. The service was very pleasant (rather a one-man show: cook, waiter, owner). Our visit was through the finebite app, but this is definitely a place we will revisit without any discount. The venue might not attract at first, but the food offered here more than compensates. Despite initially ordering one dessert, we ended up ordering a second one because it was so delicious. The portions are quite standard; the main dish is enough to fill you up, and most importantly, it's really tasty.
The interior is very poor: gray walls and three paintings. Many tables close together in a space of 5 square meters. The prices are high. You can eat cheaper and tastier elsewhere. The only positive is the staff: a nice and polite gentleman.
The interior is small and lacking in character, with no Italian ambiance. The prices are inflated, the pastas are edible but lack flavor. For these prices, it's not worth it. During our visit, the door to the establishment remained open the entire time, and it was located on a rather busy street. The noise from outside was annoying and hindered conversations with friends. I believe this place is not worth visiting.
Essere at Łąkowa. The gentleman was very nice and polite, a bit lost but also humble. :) The place could attract people by considering changes to make it more atmospheric. The sign itself suggests it should be good. However, people still judge by the interior of the restaurant. A small change could work wonders. He worked both as a waiter and chef, preparing handmade dishes right after ordering. Nothing was reheated. Fresh! The food was served on nice plates.nnThe food: We ordered a set.nAppetizer: either 3 ravioli or one 'dumpling' topped with a runny egg yolk. Both were really good.nPasta: Carbonara, also with runny egg yolk. Very good in my opinion. There was another dish (not sure about the name) but it was a cheesy pasta with cheek. I would question whether it was cheeks or bacon. I didn't ask.nDessert: tubes with cream. Also made fresh on the spot. The cream was pistachio buttercream. Very interesting.
Delicious maratoni in a very raw and almost typically Italian atmosphere. The cacio e pepe and ravioli as an appetizer were excellent.
The place is saved by its very nice service and delicious tiramisu. That's it. The worst ragu I've ever eaten, unfortunately absolutely tasteless, the meat was a mushy mess, and the pasta was overcooked. The appetizer was literally a poorly cut piece of not-so-good bread with too much completely okay pasta in comparison to that piece. :( Desserts like tiramisu and cannoli saved the situation somewhat. The place is also quite unpleasant - with a cellar smell and somewhat shabby. I definitely won't return or recommend it, which is a shame because it promised to be great.
Visit during Restaurant Week 2024. The place is small with three tables, the decor is modern. The food is delicious. The service is very nice and engaging.
