I hesitated for a long time before entering El Calamar. It was unnecessary.nThe place is super Spanish. We have the atmosphere, the service, and the food just like on the sunny streets of Spain.nThe potatoes, calamari, and croquettes were delicious, and I will definitely return for more.nThe biggest disappointment were the mussels. The most expensive item, and unfortunately, they lacked flavor. Drenched in a rather bland sauce, after a few bites, they stopped being enjoyable to eat.nDespite this, the entire atmosphere and the rest of the food were so pleasant that I would gladly return to try other dishes.nAlso, there was no non-alcoholic menu. Very limited options for those who do not drink alcohol.
Great food, a nice homey atmosphere in the venue, friendly owners, which allowed my fiancé and I to spend a wonderful evening. Highly recommended
True Spanish flavors Super olives, cheeses, cold cuts, calamari, and excellent wine. On a fall evening, for a moment I was back in sunny and bustling Spain Thank you!
A place in the Jeżyce district that smells of Spain. Good tapas, cold wine in a carafe, and the possibility of free conversation on any topic with friends. I think there's nothing more you need, and this place guarantees the right conditions for that. Nice service, which you can quickly connect with. I must come back here someday.
Charming and wonderful service. A visit to this venue is pure pleasure. Diego prepares delicious tapas. Plus very good wine. A wonderful combination.nEvery visit here is a feast for the soul and stomach :)nBest wishes!!!
Spain in Jeżyce. Incredibly delicious Tapas and fruity Sangria. The super friendly owner from Spain adds an extra vibe to the place :)
For me, it's a nicer bar than the infamous Pika Pika. Maybe because of the intimacy. The food is above average, and prices are reasonable. But if a bar has Verdejo from Rueda, it means you've found a good place. The venue is definitely worth recommending. Great service. Well, I would gladly return there :)
I have been searching for a Spanish restaurant in Poland for ages, where the dishes have real Spanish flavors. Finally, I found it - El Calamar is authentic Spanish cuisine with soul!nFor me, Spanish gastronomy has several fundamental features:n1) a love for flavor that brings out the full aroma from fish, meats, and seafood,n2) a commitment to tradition and resistance to strange fads that many restaurants in Poland (especially in Poznań’s Jeżyce) succumb to,n3) simple, sometimes even a bit shabby interiors radiating a dedication to taste rather than appearances,n4) reasonable prices that ensure a constant flow of customers and thus freshness of dishes, keeping the staff busy.nAll of these can be found at El Calamar! For me, it's a fantastic place. I felt great there and will definitely return. I do notice two minor drawbacks:na) for a Spanish place, the prices are somewhat higher, more Jeżyce than Spanish;nb) and there is a lack of regular draft beer! Who would have thought that in a Spanish restaurant you can't order a pint from the tap?
Delicious food, very nice service, I recommend ;)ndelicious food, really nice staff ;)
Summer, after 8:00 PM, outside 31 degrees - delicious sangria and the best olives I have ever eaten. Nothing more needed for happiness ; ) Thank you to the lovely host!
