We visited both the branch at the Old Market and on St. Martin's and I regret to say that the one on Piekary is the weakest. Where to start? Maybe with the fact that the chef seems not to like salt; the pork knuckle was okay but tasteless. Another issue is the beer; how can there be only one draft beer in a Czech pub? It’s laughable. And the highlight - my wife spilled her lemonade as a young waiter approached us, asking if the meal served a few minutes earlier was good. He saw my wife wiping up, trying to make the four napkins brought with four meals suffice. I was surprised when the waiter looked and walked away as if nothing happened. A few minutes later, a waitress came asking the same question and also showed no reaction to the obvious stains on the table. Only after my firm response did someone finally bring a cloth and clean our table. I don’t know what to call this, to comment on, embarrassment? Attached are photos of the steak tartare, fried camembert, pork knuckle, and trout.
How is it possible that after changing the menu in a Czech restaurant there is no Czech wine, only Italian, Spanish, and from South Africa? The new menu looks like it came from Sphinx. There’s no Svíčková, hard hermelin served prematurely. Prices have gone up. Grilled vegetables for 20 PLN. Beer for 18 PLN. The summary of your new vision of Czech cuisine is gravy from a packet. I have been to you many times. But now it’s a parody. Avoid this place.
Very good food! The portions are astonishing! The duck is delicious, the ribs - my son is a connoisseur - cheese and liver! Not to mention the delicious Czech beer! I have fallen into delight for a long time.
I was positively surprised by the new flavors that the restaurant offered. The dish we ordered was very tasty. We were completely satisfied. I highly recommend the restaurant. The service also deserves a big plus. Miss Weronika, who served us, was nice, very engaged, and also very helpful and smiling, which certainly gave us a feeling of satisfaction. The restaurant is also very atmospheric and well-located. Despite the high number of guests, we easily managed to get a table thanks to the full engagement of the staff. I will definitely return on my next visit to Poznań.
Great place in a charming location. Diverse menu. Prices appropriate for the quality of the dishes. The food is delicious. The service, especially Ms. Weronika, is exemplary. If you want to go on Fridays and weekends in the evening, it might be difficult to find a free table without a reservation.
A beautiful garden (as well as the restaurant itself) located opposite the Apollo theater. Delicious food - dumplings with gravy are poetry, and cheese with cranberry melts in your mouth. Our group was quite large, and we waited about an hour for our order; however, the service compensated for this waiting time with humor. All dishes were served around the same time and were all warm and delicious. The portions are large, and you can easily get full from the main dish.
We booked a table for 11 for our company's Christmas party. We paid for everything in advance. When we arrived, it turned out that the restaurant had prepared a table for us that could normally seat 6 people (three double tables). I attach a photo. The waitress and manager 'forgot' that we had already paid in full, and there was big surprise that something was supposed to be ready. A tragic lack of organization and crowding like in a train 10 years ago. I do not recommend this location for organizing events with more than 2 people. With two people, there is a chance that a table for 2 will actually be 2-person and they won’t add 2 more guests for free.
Great atmosphere at the restaurant, no problem getting a table without a reservation. The food is delicious and the portions are large. The service is very nice and not intrusive. Short wait time for dishes. The menu is also very neat, clear, and has pictures of the dishes.
A very nice place right by the Apollo cinema, very tasty food; I recommend the turkey leg. The service is very nice and helpful (Ms. Patrycja). The only downside is that it gets very noisy inside with a large number of people. Around 10 PM it started to clear out and it was fine. A pleasant surprise is the small treat from the restaurant at the end. I recommend.
We ordered our favorite set: garlic soup and dumplings with beef goulash. As always, we were not disappointed. I recommend this set.
