The food is decent, the portions are okay, the service is very nice, and the prices are reasonable for these times. The atmosphere is typical for a milk bar.
Solid canteen food in the Kopernik estate in Poznań. If you miss breaded pork cutlets with decent mashed potatoes, or a delicacy like chicken kiev, along with fresh salads, this is the place to find such dishes. There are also vegetarian options (e.g., regional potatoes with cottage cheese), and fish dishes sometimes. Additionally, two types of soup are available daily, and during the week, they offer a set with soup as the dish of the day. You can also order compote (unfortunately, it seems to be enhanced with some syrup).nnThe establishment is located on the first floor of a typical metal building known from many Polish housing estates, and can be accessed via stairs or a later-built elevator. The interior is canteen-like, but clean and inviting for on-site dining, with many potted plants and fresh flowers on tables (though better ventilation is needed). The framed photos from the construction of the Kopernik estate, along with newspaper clippings showing the history of this estate, are definitely a plus.nnIn my opinion, it’s a pleasant, local, and nostalgic place, without pretensions, offering fresh, homemade food, large portions, and a changing menu.
The bar resembles a milk bar, situated in a 'metal building'. The first impression is average, like a school canteen from the communist era. There are plenty of seats, it’s busy, and the ladies at the counter are pleasant. Generally clean and tidy. Prices are average, but seem high for such a bar even though overall it is quite cheap. Nearby, there’s a restaurant that also serves meals and is a bit cheaper, and in my opinion, a bit tastier, but we won't advertise it. It’s not bad, tasty, but not excessively so. In the photo, there’s a sautéed pork with potatoes and salad, along with broth which is not in the picture. The broth is very average, with a detectable bouillon cube, but the pasta is very good. The salads must be homemade; the onion salad in the picture was very tasty. The potatoes are from the bain-marie but surprisingly fresh and good. The pork is tasty but a bit salty, and the mushrooms are sautéed. Overall, it’s okay, nothing to complain about. I will definitely visit again.
This time I ordered food, and it was fries, which I recommend as they are warm and delicious. People skip over this bistro probably thinking it's just a regular one, and they are mistaken. It is beautifully decorated with very friendly service and quite a large menu, so why four stars? Well, it could be cleaner, but there are also some pieces of information about Nicolaus Copernicus.nIn summary, I highly recommend it.nA small Gessler.
Overall, it's cool, the service is very nice, the place is clean and tidy. The food is good, without fireworks, just tasty and healthy portions (for me, a bit large). The dish of the day (pork cutlet with potatoes and cabbage) + soup costs 37 PLN. A bit too much, but it’s not for me to judge.
Very tasty, fresh, and quick service; I recommend it.
Generally, there is mostly poultry, sometimes pork. If someone wants to eat something different and healthy, they need to get there on Saturday between 12-1 PM, as any nicer dishes (duck, beef) are only available at those hours, and afterwards, they are sold out. Overall, it’s a good spot for fans of the cheapest poultry.
Tasty, homemade food - simply :) It's worth following their Facebook page and checking what the dish of the day is. I recommend visiting on weekends for pork cutlets.
We visit many places. We're particularly sensitive about those with food :-) We ended up here on a recommendation while passing through Poznań. This place deserves ten stars, but I can’t give that many :-( A big selection of home-cooked dishes, large portions, well-seasoned, i.e., tasty, nicely served, and with lovely staff! Inside, there are live flowers, a minimalist decoration, but someone thought to replace the useless pictures or other 'wall decorations' with framed photos telling the story of the estate! Kudos for the idea, execution, and best of luck! Stay strong!
The food is okay. nVery friendly service. nThe food is warm right away. nI recommend.
