A well-constructed two-level venue with plenty of wooden elements. Very comfortable sofas and seating, an interesting menu where everyone can find something good for themselves.nI was personally overwhelmed by the excessive number of televisions showing football matches. I felt a bit like I was in Media Markt at an RTV stand. Such decor is more fitting for a pub than a restaurant. I missed Czech music or simply any Czech radio station playing in the background for a better atmosphere. The service was top-notch. The friendly Ms. Polina took excellent care of us and checked in every so often to see if everything was okay. The food was tasty but not extraordinary. My beef goulash was well-made and seasoned, but the dumplings tasted like they were bought from the supermarket. The dough was dry and crumbly. The dumplings served as an appetizer were already better. The beer was, of course, excellent and served in a classic mug. A very nice gesture from Ms. Polina was the offered complimentary tasting of plum Soplica at the end. There used to be Sfinks there, but I'm glad there's now Drevny Kocur.
We visited this place on a whim. The portions were quite large. Very good meat. The meat from the pork knuckle and duck was well prepared. Both meats fell off the bone easily.
The food was tasty - the portions were very large, rather for 'very hungry' :-)nEspecially the children's meal - the whole portion was rather for older children. Nevertheless, it was fine.nnThere are high chairs available for children, and there is a changing table in the restroom.nnThere was quite a long wait for the service - to place the order. The waiting time for the dishes themselves was, however, quite short. The staff was very nice and helpful.nnPrices are reasonable given the location and the size of the portions.nnVery good salmon and the dish with turkey thigh.
Very good food, very large portions, the appetizer looked like a main dish. The service was very nice, we were a group of 11 and the food came quickly.
I really liked the atmosphere of the venue, despite the large crowd, you could talk and laugh freely without disturbing others. A meeting with close people, a table reserved a few days in advance. Ms. Alicja served us, she handled the service for 10 people excellently and was able to advise on the menu. The food was delicious. Great atmosphere.
Visit on 11.10.2024 at 1:00 PM, no free tables all reserved - sad because I planned to have goose leg. And then the plot twist: the head of the hall took a quick analysis and took the risk and made a table available for literally an hour. It will be a bit like a fast-food action, but it worked out and everything was on point. It was worth taking on this challenge against time. The goose leg was exquisite, perfectly prepared and served, with a thoughtful idea of serving the excellent sauce for dumplings in a saucer, instead of flooding everything on the plate. The dumplings were fresh and good as always, and with all this, the red cabbage - how do they make that cabbage, it's wonderful. And to top it all, delicious beer. :) Goose leg price was 89 PLN, beer 16.5 PLN. It was worth it! A big thanks to the head of the hall and the nice service at the table. And especially to the wizards who prepared it.
A wonderful place that charmed me both with the taste of the dishes and the quality of the service. We arrived at Drevny Kocur 77 as a group shortly before the restaurant's closing time. We were worried that our late visit would be a problem, but the manager exhibited immense professionalism, kindness, and understanding. She accepted our order with a smile, even though the kitchen was practically closed.nnThe food turned out to be an absolute hit! Each dish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. You can tell that the chefs put their heart into what they do. The portions were appropriately large, and the flavor – indescribable; you have to try it for yourself!nnThe atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and pleasant. You can feel that this place has been created with passion and care for the customer. The service continually ensured our satisfaction, which made us feel truly welcomed.nnI wholeheartedly recommend Drevny Kocur 77 to anyone looking for delicious food, professional service, and a unique ambiance. I will definitely return – this is a place that stays in memory for a long time!
Very large portions, fresh, tasty. I couldn't finish everything and easily got a takeout container. I was looking for a place that would please children, and for a fan of steamed buns with sauce, this was an excellent choice. The gravy was delicious. The schnitzel was huge, and the potato salad was tasty. My husband had turkey; it could have been more tender, but in flavor with the sauce, it was good. Prices are appropriate for the Old Market. I recommend this place, great Czech cuisine. Special thanks for the superb service to Ms. Olga. Overall, very nice service, and everyone was smiling upon our departure. I will definitely return.
This was my second outing to this venue, and just like the first time, it was exemplary, but this time it was a 4+. The service was excellent, but the large portion of ribs was the same as the regular portion for a lower price... steakhouse fries were raw inside, maybe not all of them, but most... we'll see how it goes next time :)
Very large and delicious portions. Wonderful atmosphere. We didn't have a reservation, but the lady at the entrance looked for a table and we got seats upstairs. A friendly Olek took care of us. He advised on the choice of dishes and drinks. We will definitely return. A six with a plus.
