The place is not very big. Quite a few people in the evening. Reservation is necessary on weekends. Rather not cozy, but the food itself is okay. I wouldn’t recommend it for a romantic dinner. The portions are very large. For us, they were too big. A lot was wasted, which is a pity because I dislike wasting food. The food itself, however, was tasty. I just think it lacks atmosphere.
We ordered several different dishes, and all except one were to our liking. One dish was poor; it was the seasonal dish of pulled pork with gray dumplings, bacon, and cabbage. When paying the bill, of course, we mentioned this, but the rest was fine. Also, you need to reserve a table in advance to eat here; portions are also good.
A delicious place. Portions are massive, especially recommend the tasty juicy pork schnitzel with fried egg and salad. Very good Hungarian goulash pancake, Lebanese koftas, and sweet potato dumplings. It's worth making a reservation because this place has been truly crowded for many years now. This also indicates a certain cult status of the restaurant. Great selection of cocktails and beer. The restaurant has an interesting atmospheric style with sporting elements showing the history of world sports. Recommend for a meeting with friends or for a pleasant dinner for two.
The waiter warned that we would have to wait 40 minutes for food, but I received it in just 15 minutes (Friday around 5 PM). Gigantic schnitzel, unmanageable for one person. Beware, under the schnitzel are potatoes and potato salad, and not everyone likes that, so be careful. It’s a pretty busy place, but if necessary, you can find a spot at high stools by the window.
A regular spot to go out with friends or a partner for very tasty food. Perfect for getting full and hanging out in a nice place. We classically ordered schnitzel, and since we were in the holiday season, we also had borscht and spiced chocolate. As many said, everything was tasty; the borscht, however, disappointed us. Just 'borscht water', zero filling with beets or anything else to bite into (there was a mini pasztecik, but it would be good to have at least grated beets in the borscht, even a small amount) - such a pity. Nevertheless, it's worth a visit. This was not our first nor our last time.
The place is atmospheric, food is tasty, very large portions, we did not finish everything, but it was heavy. At the end, we received a bill that wasn't ours; we probably wouldn't have noticed, but it was significantly inflated.
The first time, my husband ordered a schnitzel and I had gray dumplings with pulled pork - both dishes were delicious and we received them quickly ;) We also ordered tomato cream soup due to the long wait for the main dish we didn't finish the soup, and the main dish arrived too soon. Portions are large, I wouldn't recommend getting 'waiting plates' or soups because it's hard to manage the main dish afterward. Raspberry tea and drink were great.nToday, my husband ordered potato pancakes and lemonade, and I had sweet potato dumplings with chicken in tomato sauce and salad, along with a cherry drink. The pancakes were okay. Crispy on the outside but rubbery inside (too much flour and possibly the water wasn’t pressed out of the potatoes - that’s why). But the spices (salt, pepper, and onion) were very well recognized. One downside and one upside; the goulash itself was okay but more like goulash stew with three pieces of meat My dumplings were also rubbery (I think it’s a similar story to the pancakes), and I squeezed out a bit too much fat from them The sauce with chicken was mega! The salad was super! And the dressing!!!! Amazing! I have never eaten a better one! The dishes are generally very large, worth their price - we will come back to try the rest of the menu I think it’s worth working on improving those pancakes and dumplings and it will be perfect.
Highly recommend. We had a reservation, so the table was ready without waiting. The dishes were very good. The portions were huge. The service was very nice. Mulled white wine and ginger tea were perfect.
This is a place that is definitely worth visiting! The portions are truly huge, so no one will leave there hungry. Everything I tried was delicious - it’s clear the chefs know what they’re doing. Plus the prices are very reasonable, making eating here a true pleasure without burdening the wallet. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for tasty food at a good price!
A nice place, very good dumplings and solid portions. The only downside is the strange waiter service system - we have to point out tables, and orders and payments are made at the bar. However, I will definitely return for those dumplings!
