Yum. Huge portions. Delicious cakes. The service is nice and polite. The decor refers to the tradition of this place ❤️ However, we feel that there are too few tables for such a delicious place as there is always a queue to get here.
I waited 10 days to write this review so as not to hurt the business during the holiday and shortly after.nA few years ago I had a very bad experience with Marciński croissants and I hoped that it couldn't get worse, but here the croissants hit rock bottom.n1. The first photo shows this flavor failure, a bun drowned in icing, soaked in scents like a distant uncle after a wedding, with very unpleasant filling, the only plus was that it was minimal, but 22 PLN each cancels even that as a poor yeast pastry.n2. The second photo was bought from another Poznań bakery, a lot of filling, the taste of white poppy seeds, nuts, crispy outside, moist inside, what a croissant should be in my humble opinion of a Poznań native (I've eaten even better ones from other bakeries).nNot recommended.
This is not a place where you will eat exquisite desserts, but my perspective is that this is not what it's about here. What matters is the atmosphere, very decent cakes, ice cream, and coffee - all at a reasonable price.n———nI appreciate the details that are coherent and well thought out.nThe number of visitors confirms that this place is very popular and worth visiting.n———nI respect the action with the receipts, where we can leave a paid receipt on the cork board for any amount. Thanks to this, people with lower incomes can benefit from Kociak's services.n———-nI really like the service, the music, the clean restrooms, and the Ambrozja ice cream dessert.n———-nGo in blind, form your own opinion.
A café with an old-fashioned charm, but in a good sense, you can be transported back in time. The desserts ordered, such as Anula and Poznański Brzdąc, deserve a 5. I recommend it, it's worth a visit.
It's hard to imagine Poznań without Kociak! This is undoubtedly a legendary place that I remember from my mother's stories. And the iconic neon created by Mr. Piotr Heinze. Therefore, I’m glad that it has returned in a new edition. Nice service and atmosphere, although the coffee and cake are not impressive. This is definitely a topic for improvement. But I wish you good luck and keep my fingers crossed for the new version!
I'm giving all fives but it's not all that rosy. The place is too small for such a number of people. Crowded. The service has too few staff. However, the most important desserts are good. I don't know if I saw correctly yesterday, but there are only a few types of desserts. Just a few years ago there were about 30 or more. Such good ones as Malibu or topped with ajerkoniak. It's worth going, seeing, and showing to friends, children...
I had a Brzdąc and drank black coffee. A friend had some dessert and juice, and another one had white coffee.nJust as I walked in, there were free seats, but they quickly filled up. Everything is well described, especially how to order, so remember your table number.nFor parents: there is a changing table in the bathroom.nThere is space to put the stroller next to the table, and I especially recommend those by the window because that's an extra attraction plus the little motorbike that stands there and the cats!nLovely service that had no problem with the little one exploring the place or visiting the cats :)
I was there for dessert from my youth. It reminded me of the taste of my childhood. Thank you for the memories.nYesterday I bought Marciński croissants. I'm a bit disappointed. The price is 19 PLN each. The croissant is made from puff pastry, but in my opinion, there was too much icing on top and the filling was too sweet, which I generally love. Few nuts and a lot of raisins and almond oil (flavoring). Overall, the croissants didn’t impress me. In my rating, 3.5-4/5 at most.nnAnother note, regarding the venue itself. In the city center, near the Old Town, the menu should also be in English. There’s insufficient space at the register, and only one person was taking orders, who spent 5 minutes explaining the entire menu to a foreigner that was posted on the wall...
My beloved place on the map of Poznań. Was there ever a better idea for a place where you came with your parents or grandparents? The taste of the desserts hasn’t changed, the coffee or tea in the basket still exists. Tears come to my eyes from beautiful memories of childhood.
A noteworthy pastry shop in the center of Poznań, maintained in the style of yesteryear... with a long tradition from generation to generation. Excellent ice cream desserts, where one of the magical ingredients is the addition of jelly that reminds me of the desserts from my childhood. A great combination of ice cream, jelly, and fresh fruits is a sure composition for everyone!!! A lot of traffic, it was hard to find a free table :) at 3 PM ;) I recommend it again and send my regards :) :) :)
