Amore del Tropico

The place is rather hidden and if someone is not headed directly there, the chances of entering 'from the street' are slim. The entrance doesn’t exactly invite. The decor is dark, almost gloomy, but it has its charm. The beer selection on taps and in bottles is decent!

I was there some time ago, but I remember it fondly. A cozy place and good drinks. :)

Super pub with a very old-school vibe. A large selection of exquisite beers. Good meads (in the picture). Decent bartenders, very helpful. Possibility to book for special events. It's probably a little-known place in Poznań, which is a pity because it's nice.

I was walking down Ratajczaka Street with my girlfriend and we didn't expect what we would encounter. The hidden entrance didn't encourage us, but I decided to turn the handle. Inside, there were many people in good spirits. After a short while, some stranger offered to play foosball with me. The people there were friendly. Late at night in the dark garden, there were a few people conversing in different languages. A place with a specific atmosphere that is hard to find elsewhere.

A very interesting place! There's a smoking area, an outdoor garden. A decent selection of beers at reasonable prices for a pub. You can also drink very good mead. I tried two- and three-honey meads and I recommend both. There are also some bar games and board games, foosball. The entrance looks a bit strange, nestled in a residential area, but it's worth checking out. The pub is made in an 'old style'. The name is completely unrelated to the interior, but you have to admit it's warm :)

Not everything that glitters is gold. An expensive sign, beautiful decor, and staff speaking five languages do not guarantee a good time. Sometimes you have to crawl into a dark entrance, pass 'Mr. Drunk' and not be intimidated by a sign styled from the '80s of the 19th century. That's exactly how Amore is...nThe moment you step from Ratajczaka Street into the gate, it feels like a journey to another dimension, where social relations and decor are managed by Bartosz Walaszek. Bars and restaurants stylized on the PRL era or rural huts can hide in shame. In Amore, there is no pretentious decor. Everything is natural and there’s no need to convince the customer that the flush doesn’t work or that the old chair is wobbly. After the first visit, you either love it or hate it. It’s a wonderful verification process. The regulars of this establishment are fully aware of the rules under which Amore operates. Entering there, you become a time traveler, discovering a microcosm hidden from the unsuspecting tourists. This is not a place for tourists racing for attractions with social media posts and hashtags on Instagram. There are no goats clashing mugs by flashlights, but rather collisions of mugs filled with golden liquid.nIf someone asks me how it is in Amore, I would reply, 'modestly, yet without comforts.'nI give it 30%* on the Walaszek scale.n* meaning 11/10.
